Professional Dedication
I have been in practice since 2001, and I am more passionate about my work than ever. The best part of my job is getting to know my patients. I always remember the stories they tell about their families and their lives because I care about them. My patients are like my extended family, just like my team members!
In addition to providing dental care, I always take the time to make sure all my patients know how to properly take care of their teeth and gums at home. The more a person knows about proper home care, the fewer expensive, complex treatments they need. Take care of your teeth and they will take care of you!
Family Life
I was born in Dar-es-salaam, Tanzania, in East Africa. I lived and studied in Boston for eight years, and have lived in Mississauga since 2003. I have two beautiful children, Malika and Armaan. I love listening to music, watching movies, reading inspirational literature, practicing yoga, gardening, shopping and playing the occasional game of friendly poker!
I am also fluent in English, Gujarati, Hindi, Swahili – we love to create a sense of belonging and welcome patients of all cultures.
Community Involvement
For the past 10 years, Dr. Rina Kotecha has been extensively involved in the Mississauga community. During her frequent trips to Africa, she also is very active in helping others receive and maintain oral healthcare. Helping someone to share their smile is one of the most rewarding parts of being a dentist.
