Patient Information
We are excited to welcome new patients at our practice. Here is
What happens during your first visit
During your initial visit to our practice, you receive a full examination. This includes complete x-rays that allow us to detect tooth decay, any teeth that have not erupted, malformed roots, and the structure and position of the jaw and bite. We ask you about your medical history and your dental history to ensure all information is up-to-date. You should let us know if you are taking any medications regularly, both prescription and over-the-counter, and give us the contact information for your general physician. At future visits, do not hesitate to let us know of any changes in your health or the medications that you take.
Regular checkups
Patients from the age of four and up are encouraged to visit for regular check-ups at least twice a year. This allows us to examine the mouth for changes, detect tooth decay early, and treat oral conditions as soon as possible to ensure that they are manageable. During these appointments, we also provide a full oral examination as well as a professional cleaning and polishing of the teeth. These check-ups typically take 45 minutes.
