Dr. Rina Kotecha wants her patients to have a positive and enjoyable dental experience. She has been providing her patients in the Mississauga area high quality dental care with a personal touch for over a decade. Dr. Kotecha considers her staff and her patients as members of her extended family. She works to get to know each individual personally, which allows her to help them address their unique concerns. She is also highly committed to prevention and patient education. She believes that by teaching patients proper at home care and oral hygiene, she is helping them on the road to a healthy, happy smile for life. Her motto is if “take care of your teeth and they will take care of you!”
Dr. Kotecha received her DMD from Harvard School of Dental Medicine and then went on to complete her Residency at Brigham and Women’s Hospital, a Harvard affiliate. In addition to her formal education, she is deeply committed to pursuing continuing education to hone her technique and skills. She’s a Preferred Provider of Invisalign and is actively involved in the Ontario Dental Association and South Asian Dental Association. Remaining actively involved in the community is also a cause important to Dr. Rina Kotecha. She frequently visits Africa and is dedicated to participating in events focusing on oral health. To date, she has been the guest speaker at numerous events in the community, many of which cater to children and older adults.
Born in East Africa, Dr. Kotecha lived and studied dental medicine in Boston. She has two children named Malika and Armaan. She is fluent in four languages and loves visiting with patients of all different cultures and backgrounds.
Dr. Kotecha uses her combination of education, skill, and compassion to make a difference in the lives of all of her patients.
