Good health and more come from regular cleanings in the office of your dentist in the Brampton area

We brush, and hopefully floss, our teeth on a daily basis. Why is it, then, that we are encouraged to get professional cleanings twice a year? Dr. Kotecha at Dentistry on 10 provides her patients with comprehensive care of the utmost quality. Our entire team strives to assist families in the achievement of their healthiest and most attractive smiles. It is our hope that through preventative care, our patients will enjoy oral health and a greater sense of wellbeing by avoiding dental problems. Cleanings are an essential part of this goal, providing advantages that include:

Decreased risk of tooth decay

One of the dangerous substances to naturally occur in the mouth is plaque. Plaque is a sticky substance that cannot be seen or felt. If not sufficiently cleaned from teeth, plaque hardens to form tartar. Both plaque and tartar harbor oral bacteria. Where oral bacteria accumulate on or near teeth, decay can develop.

Prevention of tooth loss

Tooth loss is a substantial concern for adults, and the risk of tooth loss increases in the person who has gum disease. Beginning as very mild inflammation, gum disease can progress to affect areas deep beneath the gums, weakening the support provided to teeth. As teeth lose stability, they can begin to feel loose and may eventually be lost. Cleaning the teeth and gums of harmful plaque and tartar, the professional cleaning is important in the prevention of gum disease and its resulting tooth loss.

Beauty

Many people believe that their daily brushing habits are the best it gets in terms of removing stains. Teeth are porous, which means tiny particles from foods and beverages, such as berries, coffee, and tea, can build up on enamel. With a professional cleaning, tiny molecules that have accumulated near the surface of enamel are polished away, revealing a brighter, healthier smile, not to mention fresher breath!

Decreased costs

Preventative dental care is designed to inhibit the oral bacteria that cause cavities, gum disease, and infection. In the big picture, it is much more cost-effective to prevent dental problems than to treat problems with extensive treatment such as root canal therapy or extraction.

We are proud of the range of care we provide to our patients. To give your smile the very best, contact Dentistry on 10 for your visit.

Our Happy Patients Say

Procedure – Gum Disease Testimonial

Hi I’m at dentistry on 10 and I had gum disease and they treated it. Laser treatment, laser gum treatment and I just want to say it was awesome. I have the rota dent brush and I use that daily and it keeps my mouth fresh and clean and hopefully it’ll prevent any future issues. The staff here is amazing, always so polite Doctor Rena rocks. I’ve seen her for years totally rocks. She is very kind gentle, especially if you don’t like the dentist. She’s the one to go to because she’s there for you and she’s sensitive to your needs and she rocks. Just want to say I had a root canal with her many, many, years ago and it she’s so gentle. I don’t know what the big issue is with the root canals, so that’s my feelings. All good. Highly recommend.
